Tee Jay has called out Def Jam Recordings Africa for failing to pay a dime for the 1000000 Amapiano Seconds Album which was released under the giant label despite the project receiving huge success. According to Tee Jay, not even R1 was paid to him.
1000000 Amapiano Seconds was a joint album by Tee Jay and ThackzinDJ. The project was released in December 2021 and it holds 16 tracks which together amassed over 10 million streams on all streaming platform.
Today am releasing a press statement about Def Jam Recordings Africa… it’s Sad that I made a whole album (1 000 000 Amapiano Seconds) And I never got not even R1 from them – Tee Jay said on a post he shared on his Facebook page.
