For a while, rumours have been flying about celebrated Amapiano deejay and producer, DJ Melzi been the son of IEC Commissioner Dr Nomsa Masuku. Clarifying the air and removing doubts about his identity, DJ Melzi has come out to say he is no way related to the embattled political figure.
In a statement released on his socials, DJ Melzi asked fans not to drag his parents into some gossips and rumours, stating that his parents are very private and he would want everyone to respect their privacy.
‘Recent rumors and speculation about my relation to DR Masuku are completely unfounded and untrue. I would like to clarify that I have no affiliation or relationship with DR Masuku and are not involved in any way. Furthermore, I would like to mention that my parents are very private and appeal to all, not to involve them in social media platforms.’ – Tumelo Mphai (DJ Melzi)
Dr Nomsa Masuku is currently in the net Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation (SCCI) unit having alledgly being involved in a R1.2Million fraud related to her previous role at Standard Bank. The prominent South Africa’s Independent Electoral Commission (IEC)’s figure has appeared severally in court and her tria is still on going.
