Mas Musiq has just announced that his fifth studio album, Lane Yam is almost ready for release and it will hit stores nationwide 13 September, 2024.
Considered a leading act in the Amapiano genre and one of the most influential figures the SA music scene has ever seen in recent years, Mas Musiq has never failed to impress us with his works. His NINI na NINI project, released in 2023 was an absolute blast. Featuring 13 tracks, the project saw Mas Musiq assembled some of his most frequent collaborators for a soothing musical journey that pairs soulful vocals and rich, textured beats with minimalistic production. With featured hits like Ama Gangnam Style featuring Daliwonga, DJ Maphorisa & Kabza De Small, the project was a success, amassing nearly 15 million cumulative streams. Almost one year after the release of the project, Mas Musiq has just confirmed that a next massive project is in the works.
To be out September 13, Lane Yam will be Mas MusiQ’s first release for the year 2024 and it is one that will likely shape up to be one of the most in-demand project of the year.
Tracklist for the project hasn’t been revealed yet but a close source to the artists has revealed to us that the album won’t host much guest work.
