Djy Vino is not just another DJ, he’s a master of the many sub-sounds that make up the Amapiano sound and today he shows that in this newest mixtape that was recorded at the Groove Cartel.
I love the rate as which some of Amapiano’s talents are lending their support to the Sgidongo sound. Without the inputs of these versatile figures, I doubt pioneers like Lowbass Djy and ShakaMan YKTV would be able to elevate the sound beyond their township. Giving us a proper introduction to the Sgidongo ethics and melodic structure, Djy Vino has linked up with the Groove Cartel session for this banging mixtape.
This compilation marks the first time Djy Vino will be jumping on a set organised by the Groove Cartel session and we are loving every bit of it.
The mixtape is a combination of the Sgidongo and Sgija sounds, and with the way the tracks were carefully selected, we want to say a hats off to Djy Vino for taking us beyond expectations and into the great void.
