Artists are not machines. Even machines breakdown! Over the weekend, Kelvin Momo was booked to perform at Cafe 69, Piano Hub, and Makubenjalo but couldn’t honour his booking agreement due to ill-Health.
The soulful producer who is currently receiving proper medical care and attention has cancelled all his activities and bookings for this week untill he’s up and well doing.
‘We want to extend our sincerest apologies for missing our scheduled performances at Cafe 69, Piano Hub, and Makubenjalo. Due to unforeseen health issues, our artist, Kelvin Momo, fell ill, forcing us to cancel these highly anticipated gigs. We understand the excitement and anticipation surrounding these events and are deeply sorry for any disappointment this may have caused. The well-being of our team is paramount, and we had no choice but to prioritize Kelvin’s health and recovery,’ a statement from Kelvin Momo reads.
Artists not honouring their booking agreements and refusing to show up is nothing new in the South African music scene — but that’s clearly not the case with Kelvin Momo. He takes his job seriously. Unless he’s unwell, as in this instance, he always shows up for his fans
