Abidoza have just made available a small collection of instrumental piano songs via his newest EP, “Club Controller.”
I know many of you are new to the Amapiano sound and might not really know what the sound structure was like nearly a decade ago when it first emerged. Well, history like this is the reason we solely exist. When Amapiano first came out, it was solely instrumental, with strong Kwaito influence. In fact, it was deemed taboo to add vocals to an Amapiano beat, and back then, it was accepted by all because the Amapiano community was pretty small and most only cared about being served good music.
It was some years later, when Amapiano had a small footing in the mainstream music scene, that it started including vocals, and I believe Leehleza was among the first vocalists to put his voice on an instrumental Amapiano production.
Taking us back in time and serving just pure instrumental melodies, the type that even without vocals, you could understand the message the whole song is trying to pass, Abidoza has delivered to us this 8-track EP called “Club Controller,” and guys, this one is bolstered by the likes of Tumza D’kota, Calvin Fallo, Djy Vino, and more.
