We are just few weeks away from feasting on DJ Jaivane’s next studio album, Mended Pieces. And before the album finally lands, Djy Jaivane has released yet another pre-release via “Malunde,” and this one is a collaboration with Ndibo Ndibs, Springle & Philharmonic.
When veterans start jumping on a new sub-sound of Amapiano, just know deep inside you that the sound has reached certain ceilings and now has the go-ahead to be integrated into the music mainstream. With Djy Jaivane featuring one of the pioneers of Sgidongo, Ndibo Ndibs, he has surely given the genre his blessings, and from here henceforth, it’s upward growth.
“Malunde” is the latest from DJ Jaivane & Ndibo Ndibs, and on this one, they enlist the vocals of Springle and Philharmonic. And just like you would expect from such collaborations between two worlds, this track fuses elements of Sgidongo and Private School Piano, and the result is a hybrid song you wouldn’t want to miss.
“Malunde” is a perfect representative of DJ Jaivane’s upcoming Mended Pieces album, and this one is an earworm of a tune that maintains skilful sound design and emotive vocals throughout.
