The type of collaborative project that will sweep dancefloors across the Limpopo and beyond is what Hitboss SA & VidaSoul have just given us via “Summer Jumpers.”
Limpopo-born producer Hitboss SA has long outgrown his humble beginnings as a bedroom producer. Heck, he started music production when he was still in high school, and since 2009, he has refined his production craft. It was only now that the scene is giving him his flowers, and I think they are well deserved.
VidaSoul is one versatile producer that has cemented himself as a formidable force known for fusing House elements and Lekompo influences, resulting in hybrid sounds that have catapulted the Lekompo melodies into the South African music mainstream. Combining his experience with that of Hitboss SA, the two have delivered to us a five-track EP they aptly titled “Summer Jumpers.”
“Summer Jumpers” is a short but concise project that is solid, and that is not surprising considering it boasts collaborations from the likes of Wendy M, Master Chuza, Janesh, CALTONIC PHB, Krusher SA, WestBoy, KayCherlow NLL & Cliff Kayden. Overall, this EP is just what many of us need at this moment, and we are glad to see a Lekompo project with a strong sense of purpose on the dancefloor through intense beats and sweet melodies.
