Ntokzin has broken his long silence with this Miikey Ndlovu, Q Bonke, Ciniso & Zar Keys-assisted song called “Fukuze.”
Whatever success Amapiano is enjoying today comes as a result of the contributions made by veterans like Ntokzin. During the early days of the sound, these stars gave it their best, even when very little monetary value was derived from it, because then, Amapiano was seen as the sound of the locals. So despite not gaining much, they still poured their hearts into making Amapiano songs, and their contributions are what have made the genre strong to this day.
With the contributions Ntokzin has made, one would expect the whole community to pay homage to him, but sadly, only a section of the Amapiano community acknowledges him, because most new-age listeners are largely products of TikTok trends and know very little about the pioneers of Amapiano. Well, there is a saying that, “If the mountain won’t come to Mohammed, then Mohammed must go to the mountain,” and in this case, Ntokzin is taking his melodious sounds to every listener who has missed his music, both new-age and veteran listeners alike, using every avenue, including the notorious TikTok trends.
“Fukuze” is his latest delivery, and this one dives deep into what listeners would expect to hear from an Amapiano veteran.
