Lowbass Djy has just given us the one in a lifetime opportunity to grab the full melodies and essence of Sgidongo with his newest collection of bangers, “The Amazing Bass.”
As much as you think you have heard all that pertains to Sgidongo, believe me, there is still a lot of the sound you don’t even know exists, and the only way for such discovery is if the pioneers of the sound find it worthy to entertain us with a full-length project, which Lowbass Djy has just done.
I know you would wonder and say, but Lowbass Djy has given us albums in the past, so why hasn’t he revealed these rare Sgidongo elements in those previously released productions? I have two answers to that. One, most of the producer’s previous works of art are collaborations with his other half, Ndibo Ndibs, who together form 2Souls. When the duo release music, they don’t do so in the individual capacity of either of the duo, so obviously, the soundscapes of Lowbass Djy won’t be all pronounced. And secondly, another reason why you haven’t heard all of Sgidongo’s elements in his previous releases is because producers love keeping some sauce under their sleeves; it helps as a surprise element.
Exposing us to more styles and sounds of Sgidongo we never thought existed, the notorious producer has delivered to us this 18-track collection of bangers called “The Amazing Bass,” and on this one, he taps on the shoulder of Ndibo Ndibs, Portia K.M, HouseXcape, DJ Njabsta, MDU aka TRP, ShakaMan YKTV, Kom Da Perc, Hotfurze, Vega K.T, and more.
