Dlala Regal takes us on a journey through his newest works via “East Wave 100% Production Mix.”
Real name Kamogelo Malapane, Dlala Regal is one of the iconic figures in the Amapiano scene. Hailing from Daveyton, he began his musical journey as a Hip-Hop and Deep House enthusiast. However, when Amapiano began gaining traction, initially through the kota sound, he was among the earliest young talents to embrace the genre. Drawing from his experience in other genres, he introduced several innovative ideas that helped shape Amapiano during one of its most critical stages.
With Amapiano now at the forefront of the South African music scene, most of his work towards its solidification is now complete, but that doesn’t mean the producer has to stop putting in the effort, because even if Amapiano is now the leading genre in the country, it could fall below the ranks if the original sound essence is not maintained, and this is where Dlala Regal comes in.
Armed with a vast production arsenal, his sound offers a benchmark against which we can assess and gauge the quality of productions flooding the scene today. It is for this reason that he has delivered this production-focused mixtape, titled “East Wave 100% Production Mix.”
