We anticipated it and thankfully, we are not disappointed with the outcome. Out everywhere is “Umswenko 2.0” and this is so far one of the best collaborative works we have had from Xduppy, Sleazy & Optimist Music ZA.
The kind of productions many of us desire for the coming festivities are the type that force one to go from 1 to 100 in a split second. And we have just found some of such productions that can quickly cause goosebumps and make you open your eyes and get up from your chair to dance. These productions are packed in Umswenko 2.0, a seven-track album by Xduppy, Sleazy and Optimist Music ZA.
The first instalment of the Umswenko EP was by Xduppy, Scotts Maphuma, and Mellow & Sleazy, and was released in 2024. Made up of eight solid tracks, this mini-project had bangers like “Sheshisa” with CowBoii, LastBornDiroba and Felo Le Tee, “Khuthuzile” with DJ Maphorisa, Pushkin and Kabelo Sings, and “Makubenjalo” featuring CowBoii.
With two years having passed, Xduppy has decided to extend this project, only that this time, he has brought in a new face, Optimist Music ZA, and only brought along Sleazy, excluding Mellow. Together, they have delivered a collection of seven uplifting tracks featuring stunning instrumentation, infectious vocals, and a dancefloor melody. Take a dose below!
