The ranks of Simnandi Records continue to deplete at a very fast rate and we hope Dj Jaivane tame this before it gets too late. One the label’s finest duo, Amu Classic & Kappie have today announced the departure from the fold, making them the fourth artists to leave Simnandi Records in just a year.
In a statement released on their official handle, Amu Classic & Kappie stated they would be independent going forward while at the same time flaunting their own Umzonkonko Music Records.
“It’s with great privilege to announce the departure of Amu Classic & Kappie from Simnandi Records with that been said…it has been an honour to be part of such great team and we appreciate everything the label has done for us.
We are very fortunate for the experience we gained under the label over the past
years And we have met so many great people & we will miss working with them,
however we’ve decided to be independent & Open our own Record label which
will be named Umzonkonko Music Academy.
We would like to thank our families (immediate and extended), Our friends &
supporters as well as fellow artists in the music and creative sector generally, who supported us. We have no doubt that you will continue to support us as We embark on a new journey of our career.
A new bookings contact number and further details will be announced soon.” – Amu Classic & Kappie.
