Everything you know today as Amapiano was built on the Kota elements that was developed by Tumza D’kota. Retaining the core elements of the genre, the veteran producer has served us with “Jaiva Series II.”
There are few Amapiano DJ/record producers with careers as successful as Tumza D’kota. For proof of this, look no further than his accolades. As a pioneer of the Amapiano sound, Tumza D’kota has done a lot in keeping up with the Amapiano’s heritage and core essence, even despite the breeze of change and external influences that has continued to sweet through the scene, he has managed to stick with the very core of the sound.
Today, the Kota Embassy boss has blessed us with a powerful new album and this one is a project that evoke great emotion. And with features from some of the best producers and vocalists around, this body of work is just as good.
“Jaiva Series II” is made up of 9 tracks and the entire project has intoxicating chords and Kota bass that crown Amapiano as king. As we listen thoroughly to this project, we can only hope that certain tracks on the project will gain festival recognition.
