Abidoza’s long awaited album ‘Phakama’ is out everywhere. Promoted by the pre-release single ‘Sifanelene’ with Tumza D’kota, this project witness a shift in the sound of Abidoza.
Abidoza has become a sought-after producer in the Amapiano scene. He together with veterans like Tumza D’kota were the first to incorporate Kota sound into the Amapiano template. A versatile figure, Abidoza’s productions does not really need to bend to commercial sounds or mainstream techniques to trigger happiness inside the listener and this is true for this project, ‘Phakama.’
“Phakama” consists of nine tracks, each with a unique sound that evokes emotions many have longed to feel and experience.
The project revolves around a story of rising from grace to greater grace, highlighting the days we never thought we would thrive. Although the album officially dropped today, the tracks have been played at clubs and on dance floors over the past few months by Abidoza himself and other top producers.
