It seems the battle between Sir Trill and DJ Maphorisa is far from over as Sir Trill’s ‘Kwenzakalani’ single with Heavy-K, LeeMcKrazy, Professor & Essa Kay has just being pulled from Spotify.
Released June 27 via Drumboss Musik, ‘Kwenzakalani’ is Sir Trill’s major release for the year, amassing nearly half a million cumulative streams in its one month of release. The track which many believe will act as a stepping stone to the career of the vocalist who has fallen down the ranks has just been pulled down from Spotify.
A look by our team through various platforms, we can confirm that the record is inaccessible on Spotify but available on other digital platforms like YouTube music and iTunes.
Heavy K made the revelation about the status of the track with a tweet he sent earlier: ‘Kwenzakalani has been taken down! My apologies to the fans! But we got news myself & @SIR_TRILLSA dropping new music on Friday.🤘🏽🔥’
The reason for the removal from Spotify wasn’t stated but Heavy K and Sir Trill has revealed that they are dedicated and willing to release more music regardless of the efforts made by DJ Maphorisa and other gatekeepers to stiff Sir Trill’s growth.
