House music of 2026 is far different from House music of 2020. The changes that have swept the scene, although aggressive, have really been positive, and I’m not going to deny it, they have given House music an edge over domineering sounds like Amapiano.
One fear that gripped House lovers during the peak of Amapiano was the survival of House music because, back then, even House veterans were switching loyalty. People who had produced House music all their lives, but because of the trending nature of Amapiano and the decline of House’s presence, they began jumping on the Amapiano wagon. However, it took the efforts of certain figures to put House back on the map and make it more competitive. Sub-sounds like 3Step really did a lot in ensuring House music retained its position.
Jnr SA and Sun EL Musician are some of the producers doing their best to ensure the dominance and essence of this melodious sound continue to live on, and one way they are doing so is through their consistent releases, like their newest single, “Ipatshazi,” featuring Section Five.
